Arlena Johnson

Arlena Johnson was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated with honors from Moore Traditional High School.

Her duty stations include USS WASP (LHD -1) and the Pentagon; Department of the Navy Administration Assistant (DON/AA). She has an Associate degree. Petty Officer Johnson has a disease called Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO). Despite her diagnosis, she obtained her Bachelor’s degree. Shortly, after she medically retired from the Navy.

She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. Her sorority has a partnership with a women’s Veteran organization. Johnson is the NMO advocate for the state of Kentucky.

She is a Top Ten Finalist of Ms. Veteran America 2021
