Nicole Bennett

My name is Nicole Bennett and I’ve lived with a prosthetic shell in my left eye since I was five years old. I’ve spent the majority of my life being the “odd one out”. I used to dream of being the local weather girl, an actress on tv or working in commercials. Sadly given my obvious disability, those ideas were quickly deleted and I chose the safer route in life. I’ve spent my adult years working as an Executive Assistant being somewhat hidden behind a desk. Although I’ve established healthy social relationships, financial independence and married my best friend through all the hardships, I still feel incomplete. I’d love to finally have the opportunity to branch out and share my disability and experience with others who often feel put to the side and not good enough. I’m hoping this community can do just that and I can explore opportunities I’ve been denied for so long due to being “different”.
